【摘要】:Thisguideestablishesarecommendedprocedureforutilizingiceawlsasaselfrescuetechniqueonice.Allpersonswhoareidentifiedasicerescuersshallmeettherequirementsofthisguide.Thisguidewillassistgovernmentagencies;state,localorregionalorganizations;firedepartments;rescueteams;andotherswhoareresponsibleforestablishingaminimumperformanceforpersonnelwhorespondtoiceemergencies.Thisguideisnotintendedtobeusedinisolation,butasacomponentguideacknowledgingmanyskillsandtechniquesneededtorespondatacoldwaterandiceemergency.Anicerescuershallbewearinganimmersionsuit,drysuitwithPFD,orequivalentcold-waterprotectionandbuoyancytoperformtheserescues.1.1Thisguidecoverstheself-rescuetechniqueoniceutilizingtheiceawl.1.2Thisguideisoneofaseriesofself-rescuetechniquesfortheicerescuer.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
